Autumn and Winter Menu 2019
11:45am – 12:15pm for Reception children
12:15pm – 1:00pm for Key Stage 1 and 2.
All pupils will have a 25 minute sit-down lunch and approximately 25 minutes for playtime as part of a 2 sittings rota system with all children returning to class at 1.00 pm.
We follow national guidelines on nutrition and encourage our children to have a school meal, however children who prefer to bring in a packed lunch may do so, although we discourage too many crisps and sweets/chocolate are not allowed in school. A doctor’s letter is required for any special dietary requirements or food allergies.
We request that unless there is a medical reason for a change in meal arrangements, that children stay on their current mealtime arrangement for a minimum period of a half-term. Any requests to change mealtime arrangements must be made in writing to the school office.
Parents/carers should pay for school meals* each Monday morning for the week in advance, or in the event of absence, on the day that the child returns to school. Payment can be made via ‘Parent Pay’, in cash or by cheque payable to Skerne Park Academy (please print your child’s name on the back of the cheque). We encourage all parents/carers to utilise the free ParentPay service to pay for school meals and trips, if you have not received an activation code, please contact the school office.
* For the current cost of school meals please enquire at the school office.
Universal Free school meals are available to all Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 children, and may also be available to older children upon application. Application forms are available from the school office.
